Hat-trick

Shariff sets the tone

It was a Friday night to remember for the Blue Bibs, who were dominant from start to finish under the Bannisters lights. The opener arrived on 13 minutes, and it was all Rais Shariff: a solo run down the right wing finished with a strong strike that beat the goalkeeper. Av Kanda got the assist, but this one was Shariff's work.

Four minutes later it was 2–0, and what a way to get it. Shariff let fly with an excellent long shot that beat the goalkeeper, with Gulzer Khan credited with the assist.

Two in two minutes

On 30 minutes Shariff completed his hat-trick with another great solo run, cutting in on his left foot and finishing into the bottom corner. Arash Tarjan supplied the final pass, and it was 3–0.

There was barely time to celebrate before the fourth. Just a minute later, a mistake in the Yellow defence let Gulzer Khan sneak in and score to make it 4–0, and the contest was effectively over.

Clean sheet at the back

Jonti Chisholm kept the clean sheet for the Blues, who defended their lead well to finish the hour with a comfortable win. Three spectacular goals from one man, a fourth for Khan and a shutout at the back: a thoroughly dominant display.
