Goals and Highlights:

The match began with an intense exchange of attacks, and it was Nivi Mahendran from the Blue Team who broke the deadlock, driving a low shot past Paul Lissowski, giving the Blues an early lead.

However, the Greens responded quickly, with Zain Mitha scoring in the 6th minute after Adil Ahmad’s initial attempt hit the post, leveling the score at 1-1.

The Greens’ attacking flair came to the fore as Steven Mitzman set up Adil Ahmad, who slotted the ball past Kieran Woolford to put the Greens in the lead.

Sean Price of the Greens was in formidable form, and he made his presence felt on the score sheet as well, netting a low-range drive into the bottom corner, extending the Greens’ advantage.

The Blues came agonizingly close to equalizing when Nivi Mahendran’s effort struck the post just a minute later.

Adil Ahmad showcased his goal-scoring prowess once again, heading in from close range after an excellent cross from JC Maranan on the 16th minute.

Ahmad’s long-range shot almost secured him a hat trick, but the post denied him once more.

Sean Price continued to shine, adding another goal to the Greens’ tally with a curling effort past Kieran in goal, further solidifying the Greens’ control over the game.

Zain Mitha’s attempted cross inadvertently found the back of the net, extending the Greens’ lead to 6-1.

Yash Ladva then got in on the action, tapping in from close range after superb work from Adil Ahmad on the left, making it 7-1 in favor of the Greens.

The game dynamics shifted when Linus Morris and Sean Price swapped teams on the 26th minute. Linus’s impact was immediate, and the Blues started to regain some control over the game.

Linus Morris lifted the ball over the advancing Kieran into the back of the net, increasing the Greens’ lead to 8-1.

The Blues mounted a spirited comeback, with Vic Slack bundling the ball in to pull one goal back for the Blues.

An own goal from Andy Pearson-Wright further contributed to the Blues’ resurgence.

Insha Syed then struck with a well-taken goal from close range, fueling the Blues’ determination.

Nivi Mahendran found the back of the net once more, lashing the ball in at the near post, bringing the score to 9-5.

Zain Mitha added to the Greens’ lead with a close-range strike, making it 9-6.

Insha Syed tapped in from close range in a goalmouth scramble, narrowing the gap further for the Blues.

Sean Price struck one more daisy cutter into the corner, bringing the score to 9-7, but time was running out for the Blues to complete their miraculous comeback.

In a thrilling and goal-filled encounter, the Greens emerged victorious, with Sean Price’s outstanding performance in midfield playing a pivotal role in the Greens’ dominance. The Blues showcased incredible fighting spirit in the latter stages of the match, but the Greens’ early lead proved too much to overcome.

The match at Claremont Avenue will be remembered as a goal-fest, with both teams displaying attacking intent and providing fans with a memorable and entertaining spectacle.
