Orange strike first

Chances were never going to come cheap at Alec Reed. The ones that did arrive were all well worked, and the first came in the 27th minute. Ufuoma Akpokiniovo carried the Oranges down the left and cut the ball back, and Emmanuel Yankson slotted it past the goalkeeper to make it 1–0.

Johnson turns it around

The Sky Blues did not have to wait long to hit back. On 45 minutes Arijus Galakvoscius set up Malik Johnson, who stayed composed and placed the ball into the corner to level at 1–1.

Nine minutes later the same pair combined again. Galakvoscius supplied, and this time Johnson let fly from distance. His long shot smashed off the post and in, and the goalkeeper had no chance. It was 2–1 to the Sky Bibs.

Tight to the end

It was a back and forth contest from start to finish, with both sides probing for openings. The Oranges had the first goal through Yankson, but Johnson's finishing, from range and from inside the box, made the difference. Sky Bibs take the win.
